Family, friends, prospective new members - one and all are welcome.<br><br> September digital competition images are due now - assigned subject is architecture.  Judges will be Larry Headley, Mark Kresl, Tim White and myself.  Check the web site for the &ldquo;how to&rdquo; information on submissions.  Don&rsquo;t forget we have only four categories this year - Nature, PJ, Assigned and Anything Goes.  <br><br> Mel is well underway preparing the 2011/12 program/speaker schedule.  He is also collecting digital images for competition at the N4C level.  Contact Mel with your ideas for programs or potential speakers.<br><br> Print judges - After presentation by Tim White and club discussion a motion was made by Mark Kresl that the hired print judge by paid $40.00 per competition.  Second by Guy Rish - all in favor.  We will have two print competitions and possibly one digital competition that will be judged by a person not a member of the club.<br><br> Trish Place announced a photo-op for interested club members.  On Monday, August 22nd the Boy Scouts of America are holding a fund raiser at the Omaha Country Club Golf Course.  Teams will begin registering at 11am with a shot gun start at 1pm.  If interested contact Trish.<br><br> This evening is &ldquo;Show and Tell&rdquo;.  Gary Prill presented the Club 85th Anniversary Book (with wonderful music).  The details for purchasing the book may be found on our web site.  Also, anyone that would like to purchase a DVD of the book may contact Gary. Both items tabled for further discussion.<br /><br /> Competitions - Discussion on whether or not to have competitions.  Motion by Beth Button, second by Tim White, vote, all in favor to continue holding monthly competitions.<br /><br /> Digital, prints and categories - Don Cross and Tim White will gather options and recommendations from the club for further discussion and decision at the next meeting.  Categories being considered are portrait, landscape, commercial, anything goes, nature and open.<br /><br /> Assigned subjects and/or techniques being considered are: faceless portrait, things on a wall, jump, wine, junk, collage, macro, HDR, motion, light painting, stop action, architecture, DOF and panorama. <br /><br /> As our club year ends and we have a little extra in our treasury, suggestion was made that we consider a gift to The Omaha Home for Boys toward a &ldquo;Pond Project&rdquo; currently in the planning stages.  Motion made by Mark Kresl that a gift in the amount of $500.00 be donated toward this project. Second by Gary Prill, vote, all in favor.
